Since moving to Port Elgin in 1984, Anne has been singing in, accompanying or directing choirs of various kinds: she accompanied the Centennial Singers and the Children’s Festival Chorus; she now sings in the A Cappella Chamber Choir, accompanies the Allegro Youth Chorus, and is the Director of the Chantry Singers. As well, Anne accompanies vocal music students in the area, studies the organ with Ian Sadler, and is the organist and choir director of the Tolmie Memorial Presbyterian Church in Port Elgin.

Choir Members Choir members are residents of Saugeen Shores and the surrounding area who enjoy singing and other musical pursuits. A number of choir members also play musical instruments which are on occasion incorporated into concert performances. Choir membership and performances reflect the deep musical tradition in Bruce County .
Community Support The choir has actively supported music appreciation in Grey/Bruce with joint concerts with other local choirs and music ensembles, provision of vocal scholarships at local music festivals and scholarships/direct financial support for local music camps. The choir also provided financial assistance to our main concert venues (Port Elgin United Church and Southampton United Church) towards the acquisition of grand pianos that would complement our performances.
The choir has acquired an extensive and growing music library over the years. We will share items with other organizations on request. Please contact us via the contact form for further information
All these activities are funded via membership fees, concert ticket sales and for some concerts, sponsorship ads in the concert program.
